Feb. 13, 1924, Equipments for carrying purposes.-In military equipments of the kind in which cartridge boxes or the like are suspended from the shoulders of the wearer, two crescent-shaped pads are provided for the shoulders and are connected together by a two-part adjustable back strap 4. Two leather cords 5 attached to the shoulderpieces pass under the armpits and are provided with a hook 6 and link 7, the latter engaging the strap 5 by means of a pin 8. Cartridge-box holders 12 are suspended from the hook 6 by means of a ring 13. For carrying stretchers or for other purposes a hemp loop passes through a ring sliding on the, strap 5.
