Abstract

219,206. Goodall, J. A. Sept. 15, 1923. Portable pressure reservoirs. - A fire-extinguisher charged with liquid under pressure has in addition to the stop valve b, a sleeve valve f on the inner end of the discharge pipe, perforated to allow discharge in the upright portion; the sleeve f falls and closes the discharge pipe when the extinguisher is inverted, preventing escape of the gas pressure. A collar 4 retains the sleeve on the discharge pipe.
