Abstract

219,155. Kent, A. B., and Hanson, C. J. W. June 27, 1923. Clamping and toothed holding devices for tang fixings.-Handles are fixed to tooth or other brushes by an overlapping joint having complementary engaging projections and recesses, and a slidable resilient clip for holding the parts together. As shown in Fig. 3, the brush head a and handle f are formed with transverse grooves c, h and ribs c<1>, g fitting into each other, and secured by the sliding clip i being passed over the joint as shown in Fig. 1. The clip has projections l for engagement of the fingers, and may be slit at k to improve its resilient gripping action. As shown in Fig. 4, projections or studs m are formed on the handle to engage holes n on the head.
