Abstract

219,013. Soc. Anon. des Etablissements Hotchkiss et Cie. July 11, 1923. [Convention date]. Machine guns.- Firing mechanism for automatic guns. adjustable for singleshot and continuous firing and for safety, comprises a trigger 17, a sear 4, a lever 9 pivoted to the trigger at one end and acting on the sear at the other, a single spring 7 connecting the sear and the lever and acting to return all three parts, and a controlling device comprising a rotatable bolt 18 adapted to engage an inclined surface 14 on the lever and formed with a flat portion and a projection 21, the bolt being rotatable into three positions, corresponding to continuous firing, as shown, single shot firing and safety.
