Abstract

218,708. Gelius, P. March 13, 1923. Materials, special, for bricks and blocks.- Quicklime is mixed with dry peat and water is added at the same time to slake the lime. The mixture is thus heated and substances such as carbonic acid which obstruct the binding of the material are neutralized or removed. Solid bodies for building purposes are formed by compression or casting. In an example 1 kilogram of dry ground' peat is mixed with 100 grams of quicklime.
