Abstract
218,328. Dubilier, W. June 30, 1923, [Convention date]. Protective arrangements.-An electrical structure comprises a plurality of electric devices, such as condensers, resistances or inductances, and insulators, the structure being built up of secticns alternately including one or more insulators and a plurality of the electric devices. In the, arrangement shown, the insulation sections 2 comprise single insulators 4 built up in a vertical column, and the sections 3 each comprise a number of parallel-connected condensers 15 mounted between the insulators 4 on platelike conducting members 9 having radial arms 12. The low-voltage elements of each condenser are in electrical connection with the casing which is provided with terminal lugs 17 by means of which it can be secured to the radial arms 12. The high-voltage terminals 19 of the condensers in each section are electrically connected to each other and to the low-voltage side of the succeeding section by conductors 20, only one of which is shown in Fig. 1. In a modified arrangement, the insulators are built up in a number of parallel columns connected together by conducting cross members to which the condensers are secured.
