Description

SPECIFICATION Jemmy resisting security device This invention relates to a Jemmy Security Device. Security devices of various types have been devised to ensure the security of doors and windows. These mainly are of a mechanical locking system, and tend to be cumbersome.
According the present invention there is provided a security device which comprises of 2 metal strips which mesh together when the door or window is closed.
Drawing No. 1A shows in perspective the Jemmy device with the strips in position on a door and door frame Drawing No. 1B shows the door in closed position Drawing No. 1C shows the component parts Referring to the sketches the Jemmy security device comprises of two metal strips which are secured to the door or window not shown.
When the window or door is closed the teeth mesh together to form a security seal.
When the door or window is opened the teeth disengage automatically.
1. A Jemmy Security device comprising of two metals strips meshing together to form the security seal. These are attached to the door or window in a manner that they will mesh together 2. A Jemmy Security device as claimed in Claim 1 where a means are provided for the two metal strips to mesh closely together 3. A Jemmy Security Device as claimed in claim 1 and claim 2 wherein the method of attaching the device to the window/door and frame 4. A Jemmy Security Device substantially as described herein with reference to Drawing 1A-1C of the accompanying drawing

**WARNING** start of CLMS field may overlap end of DESC **. SPECIFICATION Jemmy resisting security device This invention relates to a Jemmy Security Device. Security devices of various types have been devised to ensure the security of doors and windows. These mainly are of a mechanical locking system, and tend to be cumbersome. According the present invention there is provided a security device which comprises of 2 metal strips which mesh together when the door or window is closed. Drawing No. 1A shows in perspective the Jemmy device with the strips in position on a door and door frame Drawing No. 1B shows the door in closed position Drawing No. 1C shows the component parts Referring to the sketches the Jemmy security device comprises of two metal strips which are secured to the door or window not shown. When the window or door is closed the teeth mesh together to form a security seal. When the door or window is opened the teeth disengage automatically. CLAIMS
1. A Jemmy Security device comprising of two metals strips meshing together to form the security seal. These are attached to the door or window in a manner that they will mesh together
2. A Jemmy Security device as claimed in Claim 1 where a means are provided for the two metal strips to mesh closely together
3. A Jemmy Security Device as claimed in claim 1 and claim 2 wherein the method of attaching the device to the window/door and frame
4. A Jemmy Security Device substantially as described herein with reference to Drawing 1A-1C of the accompanying drawing
