Fluid governors. - In a governor of the type which utilizes the pressure in a tube dipping into a rotating liquid annulus of constant internal diameter, adjustments for different loads and speeds are effected by varying the depth of dip. An adjusting screw d, Fig. 3, varies the position of a spring-pressed sleeve b integral with the dip tube a. A modified construction, Fig. 4, shows the dip tube pivoted at g, with means h for transmitting pressure, such as the back pressure of the prime mover, to the extension k against the action of the spring i.
