Abstract
217,492. Mottura, D. Oct. 15, 1923. Dynamos, driving. - A generator 33 for supplying current to an electrically heated steam boiler 11 is driven through a train of gears by a hand-operated spring 17 as shown in Fig. 3. A starting and stopping lever 34 and a speed governor 42 are provided. Exhaust steam from the engine 13 passes to turbines 44 by way of pipes 15, 43, the turbines being coupled to the generator by a belt 47. Live steam may be supplied to the turbines by a bye-pass 49. A set of storage batteries is provided in case the spring power should fail.
