217,321. Marks, E. C. R., (Morris Paper Mills). March 14, 1923. Folding boxes; lids.-The lid 16 of a collapsable cardboard or like box is provided on two opposite sides with flanges 25, 26 which are folded inwardly upon themselves, the inturned portion of one flange 25 being divided into three portions, 29 - - 31, the intermediate of which is secured to the side 12 so as to form a hinge of such resiliency as to draw the flange 26 against the opposite side 11 when the lid is closed. The adjacent flanges 18, 19 are provided with end flaps 20, which are placed in between the folded flanges 25, 26 to hold the lid in its erected position. To prevent dust entering the box inwardly projecting flanges 15 are provided on the sides of the box.
