Abstract

216,785. Elwell, Ltd., J., and Hawley, O. H. Oct. 27, 1923. Fencing posts.-A post or stake for wire-netting fencing comprises a substantially U-shaped metal strip 1 provided with a spike 3 and with upwardly .and downwardly projecting hooks, 5 and 4 respectively, for engaging the selvage wires of the netting. The hooks are formed integrally with the post by partially severing tongues of metal therefrom and forcing them out of the plane of the channel 8. In a modification, Fig. 5, the upper hook 7 is formed by cutting slots 6 in the top of the post.
