Description
SPECIFICATION
Baby carrier
This invention relates to an easy-on-babybuggy, particularly a device could be folding boards.
Most of the conventional cradles are made of wood, ratten, or metal, usually having a large size and being much heavy; therefore, it is not easy to move and to disassemble for travelling use. In the present invention, the drawbacks of the conventional cradles have been completely eliminated; the present invention can be used indoors and outdoors; it is easy to manufacture at lower cost.
This invention relates to an easy-on-babybuggy, which comprises a number of folding boards made of rigid cardboard, of laminated wood or plastic board. The inner surface of the board may be covered with a foamed rubber lining, and then the board is completely covered with PVC or other suitable material.
The front and top portion of the cradle is covered with mosquito net sheets, of which the corner and edge portions are supported with plastic rods. The aforesaid boards are connected one another with zipper and Velcro (RTM) so as to keep the mosquitos and flies out of the cradle. The back board of the cradle is furnished with a bag fixed in position with ziper or Velcro for containing small articles such as milk bottle and diaper. Under the bottom board of the cradle, there are furnished with four castor-mounting seats for mounting four castors in a detachable manner.
Since the cradle of the present invention is light, portable, and detachable, it can used indoors and outdoors. When not using, the cradle may be folded up for storage convenience so as to save space. An embodiment of this invention is described, by way of example, with reference to the drawings in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a cradle assembled of the present invention.
Figure 2 is a sectional view taken from line
A-A in Fig. 1.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of the cradle being disassembled.
Figure 4 illustrates a bag mounted on the back board of the cradle.
Figure 5 is a perspective view of the cradle being folded up with castors being mounted.
Figure 6 is a perspective view showing the castor mounting seat.
Figure 7 is a perspective view of the castor to be mounted on the mounting seat.
Referring to Fig. 1, there is shown a cradle 10 of the present invention, which comprises a bottom board 11, a back board 12, a left side board 13, a right side board 14, a front piece of mosquito net 15, a top piece of mosquito net 16, and a supporting rod 17.
The both ends of the mosquito net are attached to the left and right side boards 13 and 14 by means of a zipper 18. The mosquito net edge 16a and the left and right edges 13a and 14a of mosquito net are connected with the back board 12 by means of
Velcro. The back board 12, the two side boards 13 and 14, and the front piece of mosquito net 15 are folded on the bottom board 11. A set-up cradle has a size of about 40 inches long and 20 inches wide. Along the edge of the bottom board 11, there is furnished with a wide edge 20, along which a zipper 24 is mounted, and is connected the zipper on the edge portion of the back board.
After the cradle being folded up, its thickness will be no more than eight (8) inches. Around the bottom board edge 20, there is furnished with a wide helt 22 for strengthening the bottom board edge and for portable purpose. The weight of a folded cradle would be no more than 5.5 kilograms.
Referring to Fig. 2, there is shown a sectional view taken from line A-A in Fig. 1, which shows a bag 23 for miscellaneous articles.
Fig. 3 illustrates a cradle being folded, in which the top piece of mosquito net has been separated from the back board 12; the left and right boards 13 and 14 are to be folded.
Both the left and right side boards 13 and 14 are furnished with supporting belts 19 res pevtiveiy so as to be separable from the back board 12.
Fig. 4 illustrates the back board 12 being attached with a bag 23 for small articles.
Fig. 5 illustrates the bottom board being mounted with four castors 25 to the mounting seats 26 in a detachable manner. Before mounting the castors, the castor mounting seats may be used as a stable means to the cradle on the ground.
When the cradle is not in use, it may be folded up for carrying or shoring convenience.
When it is necessary to set up, pull the zipper 24 to open the folded package, and have the left and right side boards 13 and 14 stand verticaily; then, let the edge portions 1 3a and 14a connect with the edge portion of back board 12 by means of Velcro. The front piece of mosquito net 15 and the top piece of mosquito net 16 are set up by pulling the zipper 18 at both sides, and let the terminal portion of mosquito net 1 6a connect together with the top portion of the back board 12 by means of Velcro. If it is necessary, the castors may be mounted so as to let the cradle move around smoothly.
