Abstract

215,582. Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., and Randles, J. T. T. May 18, 1923. Disc wheels, designed for use with giant pneumatic tyres and interchangeable with wheels having solid or pneumatic tyres, comprise two discs 4 which are shaped and disposed so that they are parallel at the central area, divergent in the intermediate area and provided with outwardly extending peripheral flanges 5 to form a seating for the rim which is secured by any suitable means such as rivets 2. At the centre, the discs may be in contact or separated by a washer .or distance-piece 8, and are secured to the hub flange by bolts 13 and nuts 12. In a modification, the discs and rim may be formed in one piece.
