Abstract
The speaker has a translucent or transparent portion such as a translucent cone 11, a number of coloured light-emitting bulbs 22 arranged around the outer back of the cone, and as integrated circuit and printed-circuit board 21 mounted on a frame 2 of the speaker body for supplying the bulbs with a signal having a predetermined relationship to the audio signal. The bulbs are thus driven by the audio signal via transistors 23 so as to produce a "rainbow" light effect and sound effect simultaneously. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
A speaker with rainbow light effect
This invention relates to a speaker, particularly, with rainbow light effect of speaker.
There are approximately over hundreds of various kinds speakers ranging from the earliest models to the up-to-date models. In the current speakers, it is merely a monotonous hollow cone, which may be a moving-iron type (a thin metal sheet being mounted near the two ends of a magnet) or a moving-coil type. (i.e. permanent-magnet type) of speaker. Each of said speakers has a frame extended from the conic top of its body for mounting the permanent magnet of the cone in the moving-iron type of speaker, or the coil of cone in the moving-coil type of speaker so as to provide a protection to the thin metal sheet or the moving-coil.
No matter what change in the structure of a speaker, a frame is always designed to extend forwards from behind the cone of speaker for parts fixing purpose only; in other words, none of speakers has a structure change for providing sound and light effects simultaneously. As a result of today's highly development in electronic technology, the application or employment of electronic technology should be directed to a multifunction type instead of a mono-function type.
Therefore, the inventor has developed a speaker with rainbow light effect in addition to the sound effect.
In the ordinary sound and light effect control device, the sound and the light effect device are separated from each other. As as result, the light effect device is oftem omitted from the sound and light combination device because of the problems of space, cost and installation, and the listener's visual enjoyment is deprived.
This invention relates to a speaker with rainbow effect; particularly, a speaker comprises a printedcircuit board with IC, the external leads, and a number of rainbow light effect bulbs mounted around the outer back of the translucent (or transparent) cone. The rainbow light effect bulbs will wink in synchronization with the variation of the audio amplitude in the speaker.
An embodiment of this invention is described by way of example, with reference to the drawings in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the present in invention.
Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of the speaker with rainbow light effect in the present invention.
Referring to Figure 1, there is shown a perspective view of the speaker, which includes a speaker body 1, a cone 11, a frame 2 mounted with an IC and a printed-circuit board 21. From the edge of the printed-circuit board 21, a number of leads are extended out to connect with the color bulbs 22 respectively. 13 stands for the signal input terminal, and 24 stands for the power supply input terminal.
Referring to Figure 2, there is shown a schematic diagram of the present invention, in which the IC number is LB1409, and the pins of IC are con
nected with the various parts as shown in the dia
gram; the pins 7 to 15 are output terminals.
The signal will go through transistors TR1-TR9
23 for amplification before driving all the sets
(each set having two or more than two bulbs) of
bulbs to wink. R1 is used for providing the second
reference voltage (The first reference point is con
nected with the second pin). R2 and VR1 are used for providing the operational amplifier with non-inverting input terminal voltage. R3, R4, R5 and R6
are used for providing the operational amplifier with inverting input terminal voltage. VR2 is used for maintaining in balance condition between the inverting and the non-inverting input terminals. Capacitor C1 is a filter capacitor of the power supply.
C2 is used as a coupling capacitor for input. C3 and C4 are RF filter capacitors. Since RF filter circuit is a well-known circuit, no further details are given on its operation theory.
Through the aforesaid arrangement between the speaker structure and the control circuit, the audio signal in the speaker 1 may also be converted into a control signal, which will, after passing through the transistors 23, directly drive the color bulbs 22 to wink. By means of the rainbow light effect produced by the bulbs 22 driven by the audio signal of the speaker 1, the rainbow-like colors illuminate from the bulbs 22 on the back of the translucent or transparent cone 11 to focus into a beam in synchronization with the voice so as to produce a light and sound effect simultaneously.
The color bulbs mounted in the available space in the speaker will wink alternately in accordance with the variation of the audio amplitude in the speaker. That feature will provide the speaker with visual effect in addition to the audio effect; in other words, the speaker in the present invention will provide a user with a visual enjoyment in addition to the listening pleasure.
