Abstract

215,175. Griffiths, F. W. April 13, 1923. Strengthened handles with self-grip sockets. -A wood handle A for a file or the like is provided with a comparatively thick flat disc C of tough metal such as iron secured on the end. The disc mav be held in position bv the turned-over ferrule B. The disc and handle are bored so that when the tang D is driven in it is gripped tightly by the disc and handle, and the disc prevents the wood from splitting.
