Globes; reflectors. -In order to allow of a globe or the like 1 having in its base an aperture 4 and being used as a closed or open-mouthed unit it is provided with a removable cap or closure member 5 made of transparent or light - diffusing glass or of metal which has a portion of its rim 6 cut away to form two straight sides 7, 7<1> so as to permit it to pass completely through the aperture and to rest on the re-entrant edge 8.
