Description
SPECIFICATION
Telephone transfer system
This invention relates to a telephone transfer system, which permits transfer of a telephone call even with a telephone set which cannot receive an abbreviated dialing function service.
A telephone transfer system, which can automatically relay a telephone call from an office during one's absence to a destination telephone set in an extension office, is commercially available under a trade name "Telephone Transfer System".
In order to be installed the well-known telephone transfer system, it is necessary that the telephone subscriber has at least one push-phone telephone set which can receive an abbreviated dialing function service, that is, the telephone transfer system cannot be installed where no push-phone telephone set is provided. This is so because the prior art telephone transfer system makes use of the abbreviated dialing function of said push-phone telephone set in order to reduce the transfer time.
The push-phone telephone sets include two different kinds, i.e., one which can receive the abbreviated dialing function service and one which cannot receive such service. Heretofore, the telephone transfer system cannot be installed in case with a push-phone telephone set which cannot receive the abbreviated dialing function service.
The present invention seeks to provide a telephone transfer system, which can be installed even in cases where an available push-phone telephone set cannot receive the abbreviated dialing function service.
In the drawings;
Figure lisa block diagram showing a prior art telephone transfer system;
Figure2 is a schematic block diagram showing a telephone transfer system according to the present invention;
Figure 3 is a schematic block diagram for explaining the function according to the present invention; and,
Figure 4 is a circuit diagram showing a control section of push-phone.
First, the telephone transfer system according to the present invention will be described. Figure 1 shows an embodiment of the telephone transfer system. In the Figure, reference numeral 1 designates a calling telephone set, 2 a repeater office, to which the calling telephone set 1 belongs, 3 a central telephone office, 4 a receiving telephone set in a called office, and 6 a transmitting telephone set therein. Heretofore, it has been necessary that the transmitting telephone set 6 be a pushphone telephone set which could have received the abbreviated dialing function service.
Reference numeral 5 designates a transfer section connected to each terminal between the receiving telephone set 4 and transmitting telephone set 6,7 a destination repeater office, and 8 the destination telephone set in the extension office.
The operation of the system shown in Figure 1 will now be described. When the receiving telephone set 4 is dialed from the calling telephone set 1, it is called up said receiving telephone set 4 through the repeater office 2 and central telephone office 3. If the telephone set 4 is set such that it will relay any call, the transfer section 5 is operated at this time, causing the transmitting telephone set 6 to send out an abbreviated automatic dialing number stored therein (for instance * 00 standing for 03-344-2700) to the destination telephone set 8 through the repeater office 7 to enable communication between the calling telephone set 1 and the destination telephone set 8.
In the prior art, said transmitting telephone set 6 must be a push-phone telephone set which can receive the abbreviated dialing function service as mentioned before. According to the present invention, the telephone transfer system can be installed even in cases where an available push-phone telephone set (P.B tone) cannot receive the abbreviated dialing function service.
The present invention will now be described in conjunction with an embodiment thereof, by way of example,
Figure 2 is a schematic block diagram showing a transfer section (5) according to the present invention. Referring to the Figure, reference numeral 9 designates B terminals connected to the receiving telephone set 4, 10a bell detector of the receiving telephone set 4, 11 a B hold relay in the receiving telephone circuit, 12 a voice coupling transformer in the receiving telephone set 4,13 a circuit recovery detector in the receiving telephone circuit, 14 a bilteral amplifier, 15 a link relay between the receiving and transmitting telephone sets 4 and 6, 16 a voice coupling transformer in the transmitting telephone set 6,17 a C hold relay in the circuit of the transmitting telephone set 6, 18 C terminals connected to the circuit of the transmitting telephone set 6, 19 a circuit polarity detector in the circuit of the transmitting telephone set 6, 20 a control section in the B hold relay 11,21 a master reset control section in the transfer section 5, 22 a control section in the link relay 15,23 a reset timer in the transfer section 5, 24 an external reset input terminal, 25 a resetting preamble resistor for the external reset input termin- al 24,26 a C relay control section for the C hold relay 17,27 a main control section for the transfer section 5, 28 a master clock generator in the transfer section 5, and 29 an auto-dialing control section in the transfer section 5.
The operation according to the present invention will now be described.
The telephone number of the destination set 8 is stored in advance in a dial data memory IC or switch 28 shown in Figure 3.
In this state, when a call from the calling telephone set 1 is relayed through the repeater office 2 and central telephone office 3 to the receiving telephone set 4, it is detected by the bell detector 10 (Figure 2), whereby the main control section 27 operates the C relay control section 26. The dial number data that has been stored or set in a serial dial data input terminal 33 in advance is thus read out from a P.B.
tone output terminal 37 and converted by a serial-toparallel converting section 31 into 4-bit parallel data, which is in turn converted by a P.B tone IC control section 32 into the corresponding dial number. The dial number data thus obtained is sent to a P.B tone generator contact and circuit 35.
The digital data is converted by the P.B tone generator IC 36 into a P.B signal and sent out from the P.B tone output terminal 37.
As a result, the voice coupling transformer 16 and
C hold relay 17 are connected to call the central telephone office 3, so that the call from the calling telephone set 1 is transmitted to the destination telephone set 8. By unhooking the handset of said destination telephone set 8, a polarity inversion is produced at the C terminal 18. This is detected by the circuit polarity detector 19, which thus provides an output supplied to the main control section 27. The control section 20 is thus operated to connect the B hold relay 11, so that the generation of message tone is controlled-from the message tone control section 30 through the auto-dialing control section 29 for a constant period of time. Subsequently, the main control section 27 supplies a control signal to the control section 22 to connect the link relay 15 to supply an operation command to the bilateral amplifier 14, thus bringing about a communication state between the calling telephone set 1 and the destination telephone set 8.
As has been described, the telephone transfer system according to the present invention can be installed even in cases where the available pushphone telephone set cannot receive the abbreviated dialing function service.
