Abstract

212,609. Ogilvie, J. S. Nov. 17, 1922. Tread bands.-Tyre covers are formed with one or more V-shaped grooves in which are detachably fitted tread bands e of reinforced rubber &c., each having one or more wire cores f. The bands e may be continuous, or as shown in Fig. 2 they may be in sections with the wires f hooked together. To prevent creeping, the bands and the bottoms of the grooves may be formed with interengaging projections.
