Yokes and cores.-In dynamo-electric machines having sectionalized laminated frame and core structures, the lamination segments 15, 16, Fig. 2, are formed so that the supporting tongues or notches are symmetrical with respect to the conductor slots a, b but unsymmetrically located in the length of the segments. In assembling, half of the segments are reversed with respect to the others so that in adjacent layers the joints are broken four times in the length of a segment, as indicated in Fig. 11. This results in the prevention of the residual flux which gives rise to shaft currents.
