Abstract

211,311. Cook, W. G. Jan. 12, 1923. Water-waste preventers, disinfecting- apparatus for.-A container A is fitted in the bottom with an upstanding tube around which solid disinfectant is placed. A tube B having apertures c at the bottom slides in the tube a and is carried by a float f. The container is suspended in the flushing cistern at such a height that the holes g are just submerged when the cistern is full. When the cistern is discharged the float falls, the holes c are uncovered, and disinfectant solution passes into the water.
