Description

SPECIFICATION Shaving accessory This invention relates to a shaving accessory. It is a common experience of men using wet shavers that there is nowhere convenient in a typical bathroom for storing a razor and a razor blade cartridge. Accordingly, these items tend to be left on a shelf or on a wash-basin or on some other surface, which is unsightly. The object of the present invention is to provide a convenient storage location for the above mentioned articles.
According to the present invention there is provided a holder adapted to be secured to a wall or other surface and provided with means for receiving a razor and means for receiving a razor blade cartridge.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings, in which, Fig. 1 is a front view; and Fig. 2 is a side view, with a razor and razor blade cartridge indicated in broken lines.
The embodiment shown in the drawings consists of a holder provided with an adhesive pad 1 which can be adhesively secured to a wall or other surface. If desired, other fixing devices could be used in place of the adhesive pad, for example screws passing through appropriate apertures in the holder, or a fixing plate secured to the holder and adapted to be removably mounted on a mating plate which is itself fixed to the wall or other surface.
A razor blade cartridge 2 is received in a pocket defined by a back wall 3, a middle wall 4, and side walls 5. A razor 6 is suspended from an aperture 7 defined in a front wall 8. The head of the razor is received behind front wall 8 and is shielded from view by side walls 9.
The holder may be made of any suitable material, for example it may be moulded from a plastic material.
1. A holder adapted to be secured to a wall or other surface and provided with means for receiving a razor and means for receiving a razor blade cartridge.
2. A holder according to claim 1, comprising an adhesive pad for effecting the said securing.
3. A holder according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the means for receiving the razor comprises an apertured wall portion of the holder, the razor being, in use, suspended with its head on one side of the said wall portion and the remainder of the razor on the other side of the said wall portion.
4. A holder according to claim 3, comprising end wall portions for shielding the ends of the head of the razor from view.
5. A holder for a razor and razor blade cartridge, substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
