Abstract
210,467. Hicklin, W. O. Aug. 1, 1922. Cylinders, rotating, actuating.-A cylinder 23 bearing advertisements or other matter is rotated by a fan actuated by convection currents from a source of illumination such as an electric incandescent lamp 22. The advertisements are projected upon inclined mirrors 11, 12 above or below which are other suitably inclined mirrors 13, 15 in which the displayed matter is observed. Glazed windows 2a are located between the central compartment 1 and the side compartments 3, 4 and the windows may bear advertisements harmonizing with those on the rotating cylinder 23. Above the mirror 11 and below the mirror 12 are receptacles for goods to be displayed, the goods being viewed through the openings 7, 10. Orifices 2b permit the illumination of the articles displayed. A modified construction is described in which each compartment 3, 4 contains a pair of diagonally-arranged mirrors which reflect images on to other mirrors above and below them. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 14310/09, 2747/15, and 196,670.
