Abstract

Tilting or inverting bottle or vessel apparatus.-The device comprises a vessel 2 caused by and capable of being placed in communication with a bottle or container 1 by means of a tube 3 in which a counterweighted valve device 5 is pivoted, which is adapted to close the bottle by tilting the latter about its axis. The valve is connected by a rod 6 to a weight 7 and opens when the bottle is tilted to allow liquid to flow into the vessel 2, air being supplied through the upper part of the pipe 3 until the liquid has risen in the vessel 2 sufficiently to cover the outlet of the pipe when the flow ceases. On tilting the bottle about its axis through 180‹, the valve 5 closes and the vessel 2 is discharged.
