Abstract

Cleats and runners. - A device for securing articles to a line comprises a sheet-metal plate a having a hole b of such a size that when the device is at right-angles to the line c it can be moved freely on it, but when it is parallel with the line c the opposite edges of the hole b bite on the line and prevent movement of the device, which is held in this position by the hook e on the plate a being engaged with the line c so as to grip an article thereon. A second hook e may be provided on the opposite side of the plate a tc allow of the device being used in either direction. A slit a' may be formed in the plate a to facilitate engagement of the line c in the hole b.
