Reinforced - concrete pipes. - Concrete pipes and like bodies are reinforced by longitudinal iron rods l and circumferential windings, wire netting, or rings s, which have the portions between alternate bars straight and tangential to the intermediate bars, so that the bars l are gripped without wire bindings at the crossings. The number of rods l may be increased if the windings consist of softer wire.
