Abstract

206,343. James, G. T. Brooksbank-. Oct. 21, 1922. Teeth - cleaning appliances.-A tooth-cleaning appliance comprises a container E adapted to hold a spool of dental floss C, and a wire D bent to fit inside the container and terminating in a straight portion projecting through a screw-cap B. The cap B carries a clip F comprising a hooked member sharpened on one side and sunk in a. recess. A cover A is provided. In use, a length of floss is drawn out through the orifice in the cap B, wound up the wire D in open turns, and then closely and evenly down the wire and the end secured under the clip F. The used floss is cut off after use by means of the cutting edges of the clip.
