Abstract

205,956. Blache, A. Sept. 15, 1922. Disc wheels.-A coned disc I formed with one tyre-retaining flange 2 has its centre portion 5 inclined slightly to the vertical plane X-X of the wheel so as to increase the stability of the wheel when bolted-up against the hub-flange. The outside rim-flange 3, which may be permanently or detachably secured to the disc 1, may be formed with a beaded edge 4, Figs. 1 and 2, or, as shown in Fig. 5, the inner edge of the flange may rest on the rolled edge 7<1> of the apertures 6 in the disc. In this modification, the flange 3 is detachably secured by bolts 12 screwed into fixed sockets 13. The rim-base 8 is, preferably, coned as shown.
