Abstract

205,772. Wood, H. G., and Wood Manufacturing Co., H. G. June 12, 1923. Clothes horses. - A clothes horse comprises a pillar 16, Fig. 1, secured to a base and carrying holders 21, ,22 adapted to support each of the clothes arms in either an horizontal or a vertical position. The holders are supported upon shoulders formed on the pillar and consist of cup-shaped metal stampings 21, 22, Fig. 3, which are secured to each other and to the pillar by screws 31, and the arms are pivoted within flanged openings 23 formed in the stampings 22. The arms are retained in their vertical positions by spring tongues 29, which are stamped out of plates 27 secured to the stampings 21 and which engage with the lower ends of the arms.
