Abstract

204,147. Sugden, T. June 30, 1922. Jointing tube to flat headers.-In the method of attaching superheater tubes to headers by means of a clamping bar F which pressing against a collar D on the end of a superheater tube C, draws the latter towards the header B, the clamping bar is secured by two bolts G arranged one on each side of the header, the shanks of the bolts being bent so that the heads engage the underside of the header. Preferably a sealing ring E is inserted between the collar D and the header.
