Levelling-heads.-To facilitate the levelling of a surveying-instrument, the correct positioning of the main bubble tube in two directions at rightangles and in definite relation to the levelling screws is ensured by providing the outer centre with a circular member D graduated in definite relation to the positions of the arms C carrying the levelling screws, and providing the revolving body A with an index or indices E disposed in definite relation to the direction of the main bubble tube and adapted to be brought to register with the graduations. Alternatively, the graduations may be carried by the body and the index or indices by the outer centre.
