Manuscript blocks; refill attachments; indexing.-A diary comprises two annual sections 1, 2, removably held one on each of two stiff sides 5, 6 of a cover by the engagement of a tongue or cover 10 on the section with a pocket 7 on the cover side opening towards the hinge 9 of the cover, the monthly, and preferably also the daily or weekly divisions of each section being marginally indexed. The sections 1, 2 have a tongue or cover on each side so that at the end of the year, the section 1 for the earlier year can be removed, the section 2 for the succeeding year moved from the side 6 to the side 5, and a rear section added to the side 6. Between the sections 1, 2 a removable, marginally-indexed, central section 12 may be held by tongues or covers 13 in the pockets 7 beneath the tongues 10. The sections 1, 2, 12 may be arranged so that, when they are superposed as in Fig. 1, the monthly indexes on the sections 1, 2 and an alphabetical or numerical index on the section 12 are all visible. Daily indexes 15 may be placed on the bottom or other edges of the monthly divisions. The indexes may be visible from both sides, the tabs being printed on both sides.
