Stops for beams and scale pans; vibration, preventing.-In a weighing- machine of the kind fitted with a beam and having elastic buffers to absorb the shock occasioned by the movement of the beam, the buffers g are mounted upon the base a of the machine to receive the impact of the beam or of the weight and weighing platforms. As shown, each of the buffers comprises telescopic tubes i, j, the tube i containing a hollow rubber block k for absorbing shocks. A spiral spring may be substituted for the rubber blocks.
