Abstract

The invention relates to a milling tool for a rotating milling cylinder, whose milling head(s) may be equipped with hard metal, for milling away bonded mineral materials such as road surfaces. The tool comprises a retainer 5 for insertion into a radially outwardly open tool holder 10 arranged on the milling cylinder circumference.The retainer is provided, on each of its two ends, with a milling head 3,4. The maximum cross-sectional dimensions of the milling heads 3 and 4 are such that they do not protrude beyond the cross-sectional area of the retainer 5, and the retainer fits within an aperture in the tool holder 10. The retainer 5 has a flange 8 which abuts a steel bolt 11 in the holder, a rubber bolt 12 engaging the flange to hold the retainer in the holder. <IMAGE>
