Abstract

In a watch case (5) one side of which is provided with a watch glass (8) and which has a sound-producing device (6) mounted therein, the said side of the watch case having an aperture (5a) through which sound from the device (6) may be transmitted, a support member (2) is mounted on the said side of the watch case and has a portion (2a) which is fixed in the said aperture (5a), and a foil or plate (1) which is visible from the exterior of the watch is mounted on the support member (2), the foil or plate (1) being fixed to the support member (2) by at least one pin (3). As described the foil or plate (1) is in the form of a frame and surrounds the glass (8), covering a gasket (7). Its one edge has an aperture (1d) to let out the sound from the device (6), and its other edge is held to the case (5) by further pins (4). A number of decorative forms of the foil are suggested. <IMAGE>
