Abstract

The invention relates to a yarn, comprising at least one core filament, to which by at least one binding filament has been attached at least one loop filament. The invention is characterised in that during formation the loop filament has been helically laid at one side of the core filament, where it has been affixed with a binding filament, the loop filament not encircling the core filament. The invention includes a means and a process for manufacturing said yarn. Much higher rates of production are said to be obtainable.
