Abstract

A method and apparatus for developing a latent electrostatic image on the surface of an electrophotographic member 11 using an A.C. bias voltage 29 applied between the electrophotographic member and a development electrode 21; the A.C. voltage eliminates convection cells in the developer liquid 23, thus avoiding irregular development of the image, which would otherwise occur. <IMAGE>
