Abstract

A rotary cultivating machine has rotary cultivating tools 4C mounted on a frame 7, a trailing shield 5 for intercepting soil thrown rearwards by the tools pivotally attached to the frame at 6 and adjustable resilient suspension means for the shield including a leaf spring 8 which at one end is attached to the shield spaced from its pivot axis and at the other end is adjustably attached to the machine frame to alter the angle of the shield by means of a pivotal arm 9 locatable in several positions on a fixed member 10 with several holes 12. The shield can be in two portions interconnected by a further leaf spring. <IMAGE>
