Abstract

An anchorage device for a seat belt of a movable seat of a vehicle, in particular a rear bench seat pivotable about axis (2) comprises a striking plate (7) pivotally mounted on the frame of the seat, and carrying part (3a) of the seat belt. When the seat is moved from a raised inoperative position into a lowered position, the striking plate (7) automatically engages, and is locked to, a fixed mounting (12) on the floor of the vehicle. A release lever (16) permits release of the striking plate (7) from the mounting (12) when it is required to raise the seat. <IMAGE>
