Abstract
The catheter is made of flexible plastics material and comprises two separate passages for withdrawing blood to and for supplying blood from an extra-corporal circuit. An inner catheter 1 extends approximately coaxially in a surrounding outer catheter 2 and defines an annular passage 3 therewith. The outlet end 5 of the outer catheter is spaced from the outlet end 4 of the inner catheter. The outer catheter has a tapered end portion, which is in sealing contact with the inner catheter so as to close the annular passage. The wall of the outer catheter is formed with openings 8. The inner catheter and the annular passage of the outer catheter are connected by fittings to flexible tubes. <IMAGE>
