Abstract

Cattle are brought into individual milking stalls defined by separation members 2 by means of closure members 3 each of which is connected to a member 2 so as to extend partially across two adjacent stalls, the members 3 being turnable by an animal in one direction P1 only whereby the first animal enters the furthermost stall thereby freeing the adjacent stall for entry by the following animal. The members 2 are raised about pipe 6 to effect release of the animals. <IMAGE>
