Abstract

A door locking system for a motor vehicle includes double-acting solenoids (1,2,3,4,5) which are connected to locking levers of the door latches and are energised under the control of a signal generator which includes a motor-driven cam (C) controlling operation of a number of switches (ZS, US, LS). The motor control circuit includes a switch (PS) which is closed upon closure of the driver's door and a contact (SLC) which is closed when the key is withdrawn from the steering lock, thus enabling locking of the doors by closure of the driver's door when the key is not in the steering lock. <IMAGE>
