Abstract

A nozzle ring comprises an annular member (11,12) with an internal channel (15) supplied by radially inwardly extending inlets (18), Fig. 1 (not shown), and having a plurality of outlets (17) extending inwardly at an angle other than a right angle to the axis of the member. High pressure water supplied to the ring, and passed through the outlets, can, for instance, remove scale from steel billets. <IMAGE>
