Abstract

An electrical distribution system comprises a network of cable carrying trunking or conduit 10, having a series of open sections, distributed about the network, outlet units being provided in each of said open sections to provide access to one or more electrical services. Each of said outlet units comprising a grid 30 adapted to be mounted in an open section of trunking or conduit, a trim frame 35 fitting in telescopic manner within the grid and a lidded outlet box 40 which fits within the trim frame and is supported on the grid, screws being provided to permit adjustment of the height of the outlet box with respect to the grid. A preferred hinge for the lid of outlet box 40 is disclosed. Different types of cable may be separated within a single conduit by spacers (60, Fig. 7 not shown). <IMAGE>
