Abstract

A first or female coupling element (21) is secured to a work implement (15), for locking engagement with a second or male coupling element (23) pivotably mounted by a boss (33) operating at the end of assembly for example a vehicle boom. The first female coupling element includes a pair of curved surfaces (29),(31) positioned for receiving the end of the boom in riding engagement on the boss. A hydraulic cylinder (25) secured between the boom and the second or male coupling element pivots the two coupling elements into mating engagement whereupon a separate locking pin (35) carried by the second or male element is hydraulically actuated from within a vehicle cab for movement to a pin receiving bore carried by the first or female element, locking the two coupling elements together. The hydraulic cylinder is used after implement attachment to manipulate the work implement with respect to the vehicle boom. <IMAGE>
