Abstract

Apparatus for producing moulded articles of synthetic plastics or rubber comprises one or more mould cavities 16 fed with moulding composition by a flow path comprising a chamber 14 located close to the mould cavity or each of the associated mould cavities so that passages 15 connecting the chamber and cavity (cavities) are short, and further comprising at least one feed passage 12 into the chamber which chamber is much enlarged compared with the feed passage(s). The purpose is to ensure that the molecules and other particles of the mould composition reaching a mould cavity do not have a particular directional orientation. <IMAGE>
