Abstract
A piped hot water supply is achieved by utilising the heat stored in a heated liquid in a central heating radiator 1. A cold water supply 9 is fed through convoluted tubing 11 disposed in the liquid in the interior 7 of the radiator so that heat transfer occurs between the heated liquid in the radiator and the water in the tubing, hot water emerging through an outlet supply pipe 10 on operating a tap or other form of valve. The convoluted tubing 11 may be inter-connected pipes, spirally wound tubes, or pipes can be defined by two sheets of material forming a series of half channels, the two sheets being welded together to produce the channels for water to pass between the inlet and outlet for the hot water supply. <IMAGE>
