Abstract

A headrest of a vehicle seat includes a crossbar portion (29) interconnecting two parallel rod portions (28) adjustably receivable by a backrest (24) of the vehicle seat. A generally inversely V-shaped headrest panel (36) is angularly movably mounted relative to the rod sections. An adjustor (32) for adjusting the angular position of the headrest panel is fixedly mounted on one of the rod portions. The headrest panel (36) will engage the crossbar portion (29), thereby defining the maximum range of angular movement of the headrest panel. The adjustor (32) includes a ring gear (42) and meshing spur pinion (46). <IMAGE>
