Abstract

A child seat 10, in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a restraint vest 12, which is capable of being opened and closed by means of a locking device 14 which may be a hook and loop system and comprising a harness system 16. The harness system having several safety belts 18, 20, 22, 28 by means of which the restraint vest 12 is attached on the child seat 10 wherein the harness system 16 is designed as seven-point harness system. Optionally the harness system 16 has two shoulder belts 18, two chest belts 20, two pelvis belts 22 and a crotch belt 28. The crotch belt preferably connects with one of the other belts which may be the shoulder belts 18 or the pelvis belts 22.The vest 12 may have foam padding.
