Abstract

An access platform assembly 2 comprises a platform 4 supported by support members 6, 8, with barrier devices 12, 10 at rear and lateral edge regions of said platform. Wing barrier devices 50 extend outwardly from the platform at respective opposite forward end zones of the lateral edge regions. The wing barriers 50 significantly extend the safety zone afforded by the platform to workers falling down a sloped roof surface adjacent the assembly 2.
