Non-reactive steering-mechanism comprises a worm E on the steering-shaft driving a wormwheel D mounted on a boss B<1> made of forged or wrought metal and integral with a plate B which is bolted to the vehicle frame A. The steering- arm F is fixed to the worm-wheel by bolts G. The gearing is enclosed by a one-piece casing C. The centre of the casing C is eccentric to the boss B<1> so that the gearing may be adjusted by rotating the plate B relatively to the casing.
